Haha! Me too, I can't wait for the new EP. It's been over two years since they've released anything. I remember in the late 90's when they had an album or an EP coming out every year.
I know what you mean Wiggle.

When you ask if someone knows MM, and they instantly say something about "Float on" and how they like the band, then you ask what their favorite album is, and you get a blank stare. Ugh.

I still like Sad Sappy Sucker the best, and the EP The Fruit That Ate Itself.

i love modest mouse! i have 50 songs by them on my ipod =) not that that matters.
the video kind of creeped me out, but it was very modest mouse-like.
what makes me mad is everyone's like,
"oh! have you heard of modest mouse?"
i say, "yeah, they're my favorite band!"
they say, "have you heard their song float on?"
i say, "yeah!"
they say, "i heard it on rockband! it's my favorite song!"
i say,"oh, do you know any other songs by them?"
they say, "no, but they are my favorite band!"
i get so pissed then because they only know one song by modest mouse and are freaking out about it!
i like modest mouse but everyone knows about them now.
and i don't like that.
