Amos Lee - Arms of a Woman
Amy Kuney releases six-song CD Debut EP
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Los Angeles, CA--February 6, 2006-- Amy Kuney is starting her recording career with conviction. Her soon-to-be released, self-penned, debut CD, simply titled EP, is already getting a lot of attention. On February 8th, a track from the CD, "So Help Me God," will be aired on the NBC daytime soap opera Passions. This is a very impressive introduction for a twenty-year-old independent artist debuting her first recording.
The little girl that was inspired by the Hanson hit "Mmm Bop" is now a beautiful young woman with a voice that is bound to turn heads for many years to come. EP, Amy’s six-song debut CD, displays a voice that is mature beyond its years. Her upbringing must have had something to do with its rapid maturity rate. At the age of 13, she and her family packed everything up, left Tulsa, Oklahoma, and relocated to Honduras, where her parents became missionaries. As Amy reflects upon that life changing experience, she realizes how it is paying dividends later in her life and in her music.
Amy puts everything into proper perspective by saying, "Part of me is still that naive American teenager who knows the Starbucks menu by heart and purposely tears holes in her jeans to be ‘cool.’ The other part of me is over in a third world country giving rice to kids with swollen tummies. Both parts of me are apparent in my songs and, sometimes, it is hard to balance them out; but, I think that is what makes me truly and erroneously real."
After hearing the six tracks on Amy Kuney’s debut CD, EP, you will find yourself electrified by her energy and voice. Her knowledge and passion for life comes pouring through in every song. "Breaking Bad Habits" and "Sold Out" cut to the chase, leaving you nothing to ponder - you get the real deal from start to finish. It’s hard to pick a favorite, as they are all strong songs. Once the daytime TV audiences hear that voice, Amy’s EP is sure to be getting the attention it deserves. Keep an eye on this rising young star, she is sure to be shining brightly in a very short time.

Isn't there something just so exciting about buying an album?
I download most of my stuff these days but sitll that feeling of buying an album just never fizzles out. Today I picked up Led Zeppelin, their self titled debut. Digitally remastered and as sexy as ever. I was so excited. So do you still buy albums? Do you get that excited feeling? what album gives you the biggest rush?
Yes, there is. For some reason, holding something physical in my hand and being able to see the cover art in it's entirtity makes me feel like I'm not getting just a bunch of soundbytes, I'm getting an ALBUM. i download most of my music too, but still. It's like, this is how music is supposed to be.
Besides, I love the looks of stacks of records or cd's. Don't you want to have the chance to dust off your old music collection when you're 70 and still enjoy it? Nobody's gonna be like, "Ah, sonny, let me just go stick that ol' flash drive and in USB and wait for it to upload, and you'll hear how we rocked back in my day".
